Country Cottage - High Falls, NY

This country cottage was completely remodeled to create a serene, nature-inspired retreat nestled on 24 acres of private mountainside property. We preserved its original charm by incorporating solid whitewashed wall panels throughout, adding warmth and coziness to each space. These rustic touches pair beautifully with the classic, fully restored antique wood-burning stove—an authentic nod to the home’s heritage.

Throughout the home, we installed solid wood flooring, finished in a warm natural tone with a subtle grey tint to enhance the organic feel. The bathrooms were fully updated with modern fixtures while maintaining a connection to nature through wood-grained ribbon tile accents.

The chef’s kitchen seamlessly blends modern functionality with natural materials, featuring sleek fixtures, custom white oak cabinetry, and durable concrete stone quartz countertops. Skylights were added to the second floor to allow natural light to pour down the staircase, enhancing the sense of openness. We also raised all second-floor ceilings to create an airy, spacious atmosphere.

To complete the renovation, we installed new solid single-panel shaker doors throughout, adding both quality and timeless character to every room.
